organized its first annual regional training on Risk Communication, Community
Engagement (RCCE), and Infodemic Management in Kathmandu, Nepal. RCCE focal
persons from WHO Member States and Country Offices participated in the training, which focused
on identifying the main areas of the new five-year Regional RCCE Roadmap, supporting countries
in strengthening existing efforts, and developing and implementing new
effective plans. WHO officials also analyzed each country's strengths, challenges,
and opportunities using the seven strategic pillars of RCCE, which will now
equip them to determine short-term and medium-term impactful initiatives.
