14-16 May | Kathmandu, Bagmati Province – The National Health Training Center, Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), conducted a training of trainers on the management of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) at the National Simulation Lab, Bir Hospital, with support from WHO, Country Office for Nepal, and the United States Department of State. Sixteen healthcare professionals, representing all provinces, have been trained to become provincial-level trainers for ARDS. The developed pool of trainers, with the lead trainers, will further train 48 healthcare workers from Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki, and Sudurpashchim provinces. The National Guideline on ARDS and the Learning Resource Package on Management of ARDS, developed with WHO support, were used as reference material during the training.
