9-21 April | Nepal - The National Tuberculosis (TB) Control Center (NTCC), Ministry of Health and Population, with support from WHO and key stakeholders, conducted a review of the National TB Programme, to assess the implementation of the current national strategic plan. Experts made field visits to multiple levels of the health service delivery system in all seven provinces for evaluation. Enhancing sustainable leadership at all levels, scaling up and strengthening active case finding alongside ensuring universal access to diagnosis and treatment services for TB, securing additional funds, and enhancing multisector engagement were some of the major strategic recommendations presented to all stakeholders during a debriefing meeting. A full report will be shared with NTCC to aid the acceleration of efforts to end the TB epidemic in Nepal.
