Emergency response framework (ERF), 2nd edition
Overview
This second version (2017) of the ERF is an important contribution towards improving the predictability, timeliness and effectiveness of WHO’s response to emergencies. It has been developed following extensive consultation across the three levels of the Organization and initial experiences with many of the processes and systems presented in the document.
The ERF provides WHO staff with essential guidance on how the Organization manages the assessment, grading and response to public health events and emergencies with health consequences, in support of Member States and affected communities. The ERF adopts an all-hazards approach and it is therefore applicable in all public health events and emergencies.
