Health Emergency Operation Centres (HEOC)
These play a crucial role in enabling countries to achieve the response capacities and capability required by International Health Regulations 2005 (IHR).
In 2012, WHO established the public Health Emergency Operations Center Network (EOC-NET) to promote HEOC best practices and standards, support HEOC capacity building in countries and strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration and coordination among HEOCs and response partners for the effective management of public health events and emergencies.
WHO published the framework for Public Health Emergency Operations Center (PHEOC Framework) in 2015
