Based on what we knows so far, vaccines, therapeutics and diagnostics continue to be effective against B.1.617 variant, said WHO Representative to India Dr Roderico H Ofrin. WHO has classified the B.1.617 variant of the coronavirus as a Variant of Concern owing to evidence of increased transmissibility.
