Papua New Guinea, WHO, the Global Polio Eradication Initiative and other partners are working together to end the polio outbreak. Health teams are traveling across the country, including to the most remote communities. The Madang Provincial Health Authority travelled 15 hours by road and 1 hour by helicopter to reach the Hagahai—one of the most isolated groups of people in Papua New Guinea—to give life-saving polio vaccines to every child.
