This report presents the findings of a synthesis of seven country programme evaluations (CPEs) conducted by the WHO Evaluation Office between 2017 and 2020 (India, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Romania, Rwanda, Senegal and Thailand – all available on this webpage below). CPEs identify key achievements, challenges and areas for improvement, document best practices and innovations of WHO’s work in a given country, and identify systemic issues requiring attention at corporate level. They contribute to organizational learning in order to enhance achieving impact at country level and results documented in the Thirteenth General Programme of Work 2019–2023 (GPW13). The synthesis documented and identified cross-cutting lessons on key achievements and recurrent issues for use by WHO management to improve corporate performance, processes and guidance. The evaluation brief is available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian, by clicking on the link to the brief below (where all language versions are available).
