STAGE Members
The Strategic and Technical Advisory Group of Experts (STAGE) for Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Nutrition (MNCAHN) was established by the Director-General of the World Health Organization in 2019 to provide guidance on the work of WHO.
STAGE will provide strategic and technical advice to WHO on matters relating to maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition and will advise WHO on global priorities and emerging issues for which policies, strategies, recommendations and intervention packages should be developed or updated, with a view to helping Member States in reaching relevant Sustainable Development Goal targets.

STAGE Working Groups
Purpose of the Working Group on the Prevention and Management of Anaemia
To advise the interdepartmental working group on technical, strategic, programmatic and scientific considerations regarding the development of a Global action plan on the prevention and management of anaemia led by the World Health Organization (WHO). The STAGE working group on anaemia will be composed of experts acting in their individual capacity.
Purpose of the Working Group for WHO recommended Maternal and Newborn Health Commodities
The working group will prioritize life-saving maternal and newborn health commodities and will guide the development of an implementation strategy for scaling up across different country contexts as part of strengthening health systems in line with WHO recommendations. The working group will be composed of experts acting in their individual capacity.
