Overview
In 2014, the Regional Committee for WHO South East Asia Region passed resolution SEA-RC67-R6 on “Strengthening Health Workforce Education and Training in the Region”. This resolution requested the Regional Director, a) to support Member States in their implementation of the Regional strategy on strengthening health workforce education and training in the South-East Asia Region 2014–2019; and b) to report progress on the implementation of health workforce development to the Regional Committee for South-East Asia, every two years for the next decade 2015-2024, commencing 2016. The first progress report on the Decade for health workforce strengthening will therefore go to the 69th session of the Regional Committee in September 2016.WHO Team
