Tracking the Triple Billions and delivering results
Executive summary
Overview
This document is an Executive summary of the Tracking the Triple Billions and delivering results.
The Triple Billions are underpinned by 46 outcome indicators. They include 39 SDG indicators and seven non-SDG indicators. These offer a flexible approach to each of the Triple Billion targets, allowing countries to prioritize certain indicators based on their national health strategy, ensuring the Triple Billion strategy remains relevant for all Member States and their unique health challenges.
Currently, the world is far off track on commitments made by countries in 2015 on the health-related Sustainable Development Goals they planned to reach by 2030.
Stocktakes keep WHO accountable to its delivery targets – reporting results, rallying political commitment to drive policy change, and engaging leaders in discussions on specific challenges and opportunities that will have the most meaningful impact on people’s health.
