Overview

WHO is working closely with its offices in Ukraine and neighbouring countries, as well as partners, to rapidly respond to the health emergency triggered by the conflict and to minimize disruptions to the delivery of critical health-care services.

The right to health and access to services must always be protected, not least during times of crisis. Health workers, emergency services, patients, supplies, transport and facilities, must all be protected from harm. It is imperative to ensure that life-saving medical supplies – including oxygen – reach those who need them. WHO/Europe continues to deliver much-needed support on urgent health needs as and where it is required.

Ensuring the health and well-being of all people lies at the core of WHO’s mandate and commitments in all situations, including humanitarian crises and conflicts.
