The Emergency Operations (EMO) unit at WHE/SEARO is organizing the WHO South-East Asia Regional and Country Offices Emergency Readiness Training III from 10 to 12 April 2018 in The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, India.
The general objective of this training is to strengthen the capacity of Regional and Country Offices staff to perform critical functions in the areas of finance, administration and logistics during emergency response.
The specific objectives are:
- To review function of WHO Health Emergencies Programme (WHE)
- To review status of readiness of WHO Country and Regional Offices
- To orient staff on elements of readiness in finance, administration and logistics in emergencies
- To orient staff on the WHO Emergency SOPs
This training will be the third in a series of four training courses that has been planned by EMO/WHE. The first and second modules were successfully completed in July and December 2017 respectively. The first training focused on basic knowledge and skills for the incident management system (IMS) which is a priority under the Emergency Response Framework (ERF) and the second training covered the mitigation, contingency plan (CP), business continuity plan (BCP) of country offices.
