Overview

Timely, reliable and actionable data, deployed for real change on the ground, is vital to deliver measurable impact and get back on track towards WHO’s Triple Billion targets and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals. Dr Tedros’ five priorities for 2022 and the recent extension of the Thirteenth General Programme of Work (GPW 13) give us the perfect opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to these ambitious objectives.

This publication provides a high-level progress update on the activities of WHO’s Division of Data Analytics and Delivery for Impact in 2022, including a summary of key investment needs and priority areas in regions and countries. It additionally acknowledges the important contributions made by donors, partners, and collaborating centres to this work, underscores the importance of robust data and science to deliver on the Triple Billion targets and SDGs, and provides insight into next steps and future plans for WHO’s efforts in this area.
